| Spanish abstract | Presentamos una lectura de la obra Medea en función de mostrar cómo Eurípides da un paso desde el relato de origen –mito– a su racionalización –logos– y establece el pathos de un destino en la decisióncomprensión acerca de él. Medea no interesa como madre vengativa que mata a sus hijos, sino como paradigma de griego ilustrado que trata de entender la condición del destino. | English abstract | We present a reading of the play Medea in order to show how Euripides steps from the original story –myth– to its rationalization – logos– and sets the pathos of a fate in the decision-understanding about it. Medea is not interesting as a vengeful mother who kills her children, but as a paradigm of an enlightened Greek trying to understand the status of the fate. The approach responds to a context that has started, with the sophistry, the process of secularization of myth as a root of the original religion |
