| English abstract | José Miguel García Ascot (alias Jo-mi, Tunis 1927-Mexico 1986) was probably the most cosmopolitan among the Spanish-Mexican poets. An educational path in French-speaking lands, a perfect mastery of French, an acknowledged fondness for French literatura, a close relationship with the ifal (French Institute for Latin America) where he taught and founded the first cinema club in Mexico City, a still relatively unkown work as a translator constitute a rather outstanding “French link”, though not exclusive of other attachments or influences |
