English abstract We investigate the development of the teaching training period in teacher education courses as a scientific research context developed in Applied Linguistics (AL). For this purpose, we developed a comparative analysis among some academic works on the issue, produced in the aforementioned applied field and in the Science of Education. This paper is characterized as a comparative bibliographic research, driven by the qualitative approach. The aforementioned fields of knowledge share the context of the focused research; however, researches in LA are particularized by placing language at the center of the questions investigated and by different indisciplinary perspectives
Portuguese abstract Investigamos a construção do estágio curricular das licenciaturas como um contexto de pesquisa científica desenvolvida na Linguística Aplicada (LA). Para esse propósito, desenvolvemos uma análise comparativa entre alguns trabalhos acadêmicos sobre o assunto elaborados no referido campo aplicado e na Ciência da Educação. Este estudo é caracterizado como uma pesquisa bibliográfica comparativa, orientada pela abordagem qualitativa. Os referidos campos do conhecimento compartilham do contexto de pesquisa focalizado; porém, as pesquisas em LA são particularizadas por situar a linguagem no centro das questões investigadas e por diferentes perspectivas indisciplinares
