Spanish abstract | Este artículo estudia las relaciones intertextuales de la serie de televisión alemana Dark (2017-2020), dirigida por Baran Bo Odar y coescrita con Jantjie Friese. Este acercamiento también establece un diálogo con los géneros artísticos en los que la obra se inscribe: fantástico, terror y ciencia ficción. Dark combina los tres géneros para ofrecer una visión sombría y pesimista del mundo, en el contexto de los desastres nucleares –con su representación apocalíptica y distópica– y una constante narrativa: los viajes en el tiempo le impiden a Jonas, uno de los protagonistas, cambiar las acciones que llevan a la muerte a la mayoría de los habitantes de Winden |
English abstract | This paper studies the intertextual relationships of the german television series Dark (2017-2020), directed by Baran Bo Odar and co-written with Jantjie Friese. This approach also establishes dialogue with artistic genres in which the narrative work is pla-ced: fantastic, terror and science fiction. Dark combines all three genres to offer a gloomy and pessimistic view of the world, in the context of nuclear disasters –with its apocalyptic and dystopian representation– and a constant narrative: time travel prevents Jonas (main character) change actions that kill the inhabitants of Winden |
