| English abstract | This essay underlines the importance of the concepts «metaliterature» and «metafiction», which are present in Mientras cae la noche. Reality and fiction are barriers that this novel questions and puts at stake along its journey. Ignominy, perfidy and mystification of power are constants in this story. They are reflection of the hard situation of Bolivia and a big part of Latin America, of which the sentence is the eternal return. The existential memory that Prada puts into practice «arrives at soul of things» and works as another way to understand history. It is a way closer to the man than to the document |
