| Spanish abstract | El intercambio entre el campo y la ciudad parece caracterizarse por una desigualdad irresoluble: la ciudad extrae del campo toda clase de recursos naturales, materiales, culturales, históricos sin ofrecer por ellos una compensación equivalente. La lucha de los pueblos indígenas o campesinos por la defensa de sus recursos se convierte entonces en un regateo en el que las comunidades negocian, de grado o por la fuerza, los servicios que el estado debería proporcionarles de todas maneras. | English abstract | It seems that, in general, the exchange between the rural and urban sector is characterized by an unsolvable inequality due to the fact that the cities take from the former all kinds of resources: natural, historical and cultural, without getting a fair deal in return. Ethnic groups and peasants have to defend their resources in a bargaining process in which the communities negociate, willy-nilly, the services that the State has the obligation to provide. As a consequence, the discontent brought about by expoliation practices can manifest itself in various forms, all of them coloured by a "mythical imaginary" |
