English abstract This research has as objective the analysis of the language of the literary characters taking into account the cultural aspects, to reveal intercultural relationships in the short story The Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County by Mark Twain. Correspondingly, we conclude that the established markers constitute a tool to facilitate the analysis of the selected story from an intercultural perspective
