English abstract | In the light of museums’ current needs of increasing and con - solidating their audiences, this paper links the inherent partic - ipative attitudes of hacker, fandom, and open collectives with the responsibilities of the new and long-awaited-for critical public for cultural products. As a complementary factor to the cultural activities developed in actual, physical places, we ad - vocate here for the inclusion of participative design 2.0. With the aim of providing examples for the advantages in the de - velopment of online collaborative museum projects, we have analysed the project YouTube Play Biennial (2010), developed by Guggenheim Foundation together with YouTube |
