La serie iniciada con el maestro Antonio Roda y que ha incluído a Diego Arango y María Clara Gómez, continúa ahora con Umberto Giangrandi, maestro, pintor, grabador, quien, en opinión del poeta nadaísta Jotamario Arbeláez, erotizó el arte en Colombia. La propuesta estética de Giangrandi se caracteriza por un punto de vista marcadamente crítico que inquiere por lo esencial del ser, lo cual lo ha llevado a asumir posturas contestatarias que se reflejan en sus obras y en la evolución que en ellas se observa |
| English abstract | In every new issue, Politantea pays homage to an important national artist. The series, which started with maestro Antonio Roda and which has included Diego Arango and María Clara Gómez, continues with Umberto Giangrandi, teacher, painter, engraver, who, in the opinion of nadaist poet Jotamario Arbeláez, eroticized art in Colombia. Giangrandi’s esthetic proposal is characterized by a markedly critical point of view which inquires into what is the essence of being, which has lead him to take controversial positions which are reflected in his works and in the evolution observed in them |
