| Spanish abstract | En el trabajo se explica de manera filosófica la fundamentación ontológica del núcleo ético-mítico de la filosofía maya, para demostrar que en la diversidad cultural los pueblos originarios del mundo filosofan, interpretan y representan la realidad con diversas particularidades contextuales. Partimos de la hipótesis de que la interpretación cultural del mundo surge de un acercamiento crítico a la realidad. En este sentido, todo grupo humano en un principio construye su “universo cultural” por medio de la racionalización mítica como totalidad ontológica. Así, el ethos que fundamenta la filosofía de los pueblos originarios de Abya Yala tiene principios filosóficos construidos con anterioridad a 1492 |
| English abstract | This article explains from a philosophical basis the ontological foundation of the ethical-mythical heart of Mayan philosophy, showing that in their cultural diversity the world’s original peoples philosophize, interpret, and represent reality with diverse contextual particularities. We ground our approach based on the hypothesis that the cultural interpretation of the world arises from a critical approach to reality. Thus, all human groups begin by building their own “cultural universes” through mythical rationalization as an ontological totality. Thus the ethos that underlies the philosophy of the original peoples of Abya Yala has philosophical principles that date from before 1492 |
