| Spanish abstract | El presente texto constituye una aproximación reflexiva sobre la construcción social del género a partir del testimonio de la niñez y juventud de mi bisabuela Ambrosia Agramonte. Sus memorias como mujer negra cubana en la primera mitad del siglo XX, permiten establecer las formas en que se asentaba el racismo, sexismo y otras formas de discriminación en el ámbito microsocial, al tiempo que posibilitan visibilizar las alternativas que ponía en práctica para sobrevivir ante la estructura social que le correspondió y la forma en que se iban moldeando feminidades alternativas desde las clases populares |
| English abstract | This text constitutes a reflexive approach to the social construction of the gender based on the testimony of childhood and youth my great grandmother Ambrosia Agramonte. Her memories as a Cuban black woman in the first half of the twentieth century, allow us to establish the ways in which racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination in the microsocial sphere were based, at the same time make it possible to visualize the alternatives that she put into practice to survive the social structure that corresponded to it and the way in which alternative femininities were molded from the popular classes |
