| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se muestra una panorámica del arte de Orlan, la artista francesa del performance que ha utilizado, como recurso omnipresente, primero representado y luego modificado, su propio cuerpo. Con ello, Orlan es lo mismo sujeto que objeto de sus creaciones. Se abordan aquí otros recursos que Orlan incorpora a su obra, como la teoría feminista, el psicoanálisis y la apropiación del quirófano, que contribuyen a su cuestionamiento de la identidad |
| English abstract | This article provides an overview of Orlan´s art, the French artist of performance who has used her own body as an omnipresent resource that is represented first, and then modified. Thus, Orlan is the author as much as the object of her creations. Other resources are discussed here, which Orlan blends into her work, such as feminist theory, psychoanalysis and the claim she makes to use the surgical room as a space of her own, all of which play a role in her questioning of identity |
