Spanish abstract | El aprendizaje de la clínica abarca más habilidades y actitudes que conocimientos. Incluye la capacidad de recolectar información, interpretarla, incursionar en el razonamiento diagnóstico, terapéutico y pronóstico, dominar los procedimientos habituales de la práctica y ganar la confianza del paciente y su familia, así como aceptar la responsabilidad de su atención. La relación con la tecnología y con los auxiliares modernos de la educación, así como el abordaje conceptual contemporáneo forman parte de las cualidades del clínico del siglo XXI, que aprovecha los pacientes artificiales, los simuladores y los artefactos para ponerlos al servicio de los pacientes naturales |
English abstract | Clinical learning is more an issue of skills than of knowledge. It includes the ability to collect information and to interpret it; to clinical reasoning in diagnosis, therapeutics and prognosis; to have dominion on current clinical procedures; to obtain patient’s and family confidence; to accept the responsibility of his/her care. Relationship with technology and modern educatio - nal advices, along with modern conceptual boarding of clinical care, are all characteristic of a XXI century clinician who is able to take advantage from virtual patients, clinical simulators and other technological appliances to put them at the service of real patients |
