| English abstract | Several activities on the structuring of municipal teacher´s profession conducted by the municipality of Londrina between 1934 and 1963 are analyzed. The theme lies within the History of Education, especially within the studies on municipalism in Education. On the one hand, the time limit (1934) was proposed because it was the year in which the first activities on the hiring of teachers by the local authorities were performed. On the other hand, 1963 was the last year of the National Campaign for Rural Education, a highly significant movement for the upgrading of local teachers, coordinated by the Department of Education and Social Assistance (DEPAS). Data under analysis comprised reports of the mayor, minutes of the municipal council and laws. Analyses revealed the structuring of the profession of municipal teachers through insertion within the public service roll, prevision of salaries, formation in specialized institutes and participation in courses of pedagogical updating |
| Portuguese abstract | O presente trabalho trata da análise de um conjunto de ações do município de Londrina-PR relacionadas à estruturação da profissão de professor municipal (1934-1963). A temática está inserida na área de História da Educação, particularmente nos estudos sobre municipalismo na educação. A delimitação temporal proposta foi, por um lado, 1934, por ser o ano dos primeiros atos do poder público local em prol de subvencionar o contrato de professores, e, por outro lado, 1963, o ano de término daCampanha Nacional de Educação Ruralque esteve marcadamente presente no aperfeiçoamento do professorado local coordenado pelo Departamento de Educação e Assistência Social - DEPAS. Os dados empíricos consultados foram relatórios do poder executivo, atas do poder legislativo e legislações. As análises permitiram compreender a estruturação da profissão de professor municipal mediante a sua introdução no quadro do funcionalismo público, previsão de vencimentos salariais, formação em instituições especializadas e participação em cursos de aperfeiçoamento pedagógico |
