| Spanish abstract | El hiperespacio llamado n-ésimo Producto Simétrico de un Continuo fue introducido por K. Borsuk y S. Ulam en el año 1931. Se sabe que los únicos continuos localmente conexos, cuyo modelo geométrico de su Segundo Producto Simétrico se puede encajar en el espacio Euclidiano de tres dimensiones, son los subcontinuos del continuo figura 8. En este artículo estudiamos la cantidad de agujeros que tiene el segundo producto simétrico de dichos continuos y cuántos más se producen si le quitamos alguno de sus puntos |
| English abstract | The Hyperspace called the n-th Symmetric Product of a Continuum was introduced by K. Borsuk and S. Ulam in 1931. It is known that the only locally connected continua, whose geometric model of their Second Symmetric Product can be embedded in the Euclidean space of three dimensions, are the subcontinua of the continuum, Figure 8. In this paper, we study the number of holes in the second symmetric product of those continua and the number of holes that are produced after we remove some of its points |
