English abstract | In this paper, we analyze Caramuel’s appraisals on the poetical style of Luis de Góngora y Argote. We also explain the reasons for which this poetical style was called by Caramuel a “different dialect”: Latinisms, hyperbatons, imitation of Latin syntax, erudition, and the subtlety of concepts. In addition, we relate Góngora’s poetry to the notion of obliquity, a notion used frequently by Caramuel in order to establish distinctions regarding form and presentation in diverse disciplines |
