| Resumen en inglés | Accepting the reading as an object of culture, this article tries to present the contribution of Vigotski’s studies and Bakhtin’s theory of enunciation to the teaching of this activity at school, with the objec- tive of showing in their work the relationships between the process of schooling and the reader’s formation. At fi rst, starting from Vigotski, it is discussed the role of the process of schooling in the individual’s forma- tion focusing on the reader’s formation. Then, the assumptions and the contribution of Bakthin’s theory are exposed in relation to the develop- ment and appropriation of the language, creating relationships with the teaching of reading at school. Finally, the text proposes an interlocution between both theories suggesting the teaching of reading as a cultural practice |
| Resumen en portugués | Assumindo o ato de ler como objeto de cultura, este artigo busca apresentar a contribuição dos estudos de Vigotski e da teoria da enunciação de Bakhtin para o ensino dessa atividade na escola, com o objetivo de evidenciar em seus trabalhos as relações entre o processo de escolarização e a formação do leitor. A princípio, discute-se a partir de Vigotski o papel do processo de escolarização para a formação do indivíduo, focando a questão da formação do leitor. Na sequência, são expostos os pressupostos e a contribuição da teoria de Bakthin em rela- ção ao desenvolvimento e apropriação da linguagem tecendo relações com o ensino do ato de ler na escola. Finalmente, o texto propõe uma interlocução entre as duas teorias indicando o ensino da leitura como prática cultural |
