| Spanish abstract | Alfred Schmidt y Adolfo Sánchez Vázquez tienen en común que parten de Marx sin caer en el dogmatismo. Schmidt es uno de los alumnos y colaboradores más importantes de Horkheimer, Adorno, y Marcuse, muy probablemente el más relevante entre los aún vivos al inicio del siglo XXI, no solamente por su gran seriedad filosófica, sino también porque en esta tradición teórica es el que más conocimiento directo tiene de la obra de Marx. Para él como para Sánchez Vázquez –él filósofo marxista no dogmático hispanoparlante–, una de las cuestiones filosóficas fundamentales es la de la relación entre el idealismo y el materialismo (premarxiano) y la del carácter, al fin y al cabo materialista, de una interpretación de Marx orientada a la praxis |
| English abstract | Alfred Schmidt and Adolfo Sánchez Vázquez have in common that both begin with Marx without falling into dogmatism. Schmidt is one of the most important students and collaborators of Horkheimer, Adorno and Marcuse, very probably the most relevant among those still living at the beginning of the XXIst century, not only because of his great philosophical seriousness, but also because, in this theoretical tradition, he has the most direct knowledge of Marx’s work. For him, as for Sánchez Vázquez, the non-dogmatic Marxist philosopher in the Spanish speaking world, one of the fundamental philosophical questions is that of the relationship between idealism and (pre-Marxian) materialism and of the character, in the end materialist, of an interpretation of Marx oriented toward praxis |
