English abstract | All politics contain an antagonistic dimension and therefore, have a populist trait. However, it is noteworthy that some politics are heavily marked by this characteristic while others are not; consequently, not all politics can be labeled populist. In turn, whereas populism deconstructs previous institutions, it requires a minimum of institutionalism in order to be part of the political game. Due to this, institutionalism and populism are opposite partners on a continuum in a condition of mutual tension and reference |
