| Spanish abstract | Ahora más que nunca es necesario el resurgimiento del cosmopolitismo en la forma de una ética cosmopolita y global. Probablemente ésta sea la única vía para enfrentar la crisis ecosocial de dimensiones planetarias, causada por el acelerado desarrollo tecnocientífico, la violencia y la guerra sistemática, y el saqueo y explotación desmedidos de la naturaleza. Para ello es indispensable repensar los fundamentos e implicaciones éticas de la idea de un orden político-jurídico mundial, como la formuló Kant a finales del siglo XVIII. Pero el cosmopolitismo del siglo XXI tiene que criticar y superar el sesgo eurocéntrico y características hegemónicas del proyecto colonizador del Occidente moderno y valerse de los movimientos sociales globales que representan ahora un nuevo cosmopolitismo alternativo y crítico |
| English abstract | Nowmore than ever, the resurgence of cosmopolitanism is necessary in the form of cosmopolitan, global ethics. Probably, this is the only way to face the contemporary crisis of planetary dimensions, both ecological and social, caused by accelerated techno-scientific expansion, violence and systematic war, and the looting and excessive exploitation of nature. To do this, it is essential to rethink the fundamentals and ethical implications of the idea of a political and legal world order, as Kant formulated at the end of the 18th century. However,cosmopolitanism of the 21st century must criticize and surmount the Eurocentric bias and hegemonic characteristics of the modern Western colonization of the world, and useglobal social movements that now represent a new alternative and critical cosmopolitanism |
