| Spanish abstract | Se ha evaluado el nivel de deserción estudiantil en la Universidad Cesar Vallejo de Trujillo, y elaborado una propuesta que aborda las diversas maneras cómo aprenden los estudiantes. Se preparó y aplicó un cuestionario a 642 estudiantes desertores de Ciencias Empresariales, Ingeniería y Derecho para averiguar las causas del abandono de los estudios. La propuesta se enmarcó dentro del enfoque del constructivismo haciendo uso del test de Kolb para determinar los estilos de aprendizaje de 1439 estudiantes. El conocimiento de los estilos aprendizaje de los estudiantes puede contribuir al diseño de estrategias para reducir la deserción |
| English abstract | It has been assessed the level of student desertion at the university, “Cesar Vallejo” of Trujillo city and constructed a proposal that deals with the various students ways of learning. It was prepared and applied a survey to 642 student deserters from accounting and administrative sciences, Engineering and Law to find out the causes of the abandonment of studies. The proposal was framed within the constructivism approach making use of the Kolb test to determine the learning styles of 1439 students. The knowledge of the student learning styles can contribute to the design of strategies to reduce the desertion |
