| Spanish abstract | La hipótesis sostenida en este estudio es que en semiótica no existe lo sagrado en sí, que no hay sacralidad del texto (en el sentido semiótico del término) sino aquella que se puede demostrar a partir de las marcas, las cuales no son universales sino culturales (por lo menos en lo que a cierto nivel de análisis se refiere). Para sustentar esta hipótesis, se considerarán sucesivamente dos ejemplos de un posible trabajo sobre las marcas: uno, tomado de los cuadros de El Greco, tiende a identificar el funcionamiento paradigmático de ciertos elementos, en particular de ciertos desnudos; el otro, a partir del ciclo de la Vida de San Francisco pintado por Giotto en Asís, muestra cómo se construye sintagmáticamente, a lo largo de veintiocho frescos, una cierta concepción de lo sagrado |
| English abstract | The hypothesis supported in this study is that in semiotics the sacred doesn't exist in itself, that there is no sacrality of the text (in the semiotic sense of the word) but only that which can be demonstrated starting from the marks which are not universal but cultural (at least in the sense of a certain level of analysis). In order to sustain the hypothesis, two examples of a possible work on marks will be considered successively: one, taken from the paintings by El Greco, tends to identify the paradigmatic function of certain elements and certain nudes in particular. The other, starting from the series of The Life of San Francisco painted by Giotto in Assisi, shows throughout the twenty eight frescos how a certain conception of the sacred is constructed sintagmatically |
