| Spanish abstract | Este ensayo propone una reflexión acerca de la relación textoimagen, sobre el impacto del texto en la lectura de la imagen y, particularmente, trata de saber si la presencia del texto pone en tela de juicio el principio de inmanencia que podría presidir al análisis de la imagen. Se apoya en una comparación de distintos títulos que acompañan o podrían acompañar un cuadro de Matisse, e intenta revelar la siguiente paradoja: es en el título donde la función referencial parece ejercerse con más fuerza a fin de encaminar al espectador hacia un proceso metapictórico y para considerar el cuadro en la reflexividad de su componente figural |
| English abstract | This study provides a reflection on image-text relations, the impact of the text in the reading of the image, and specifically, attempts to discover whether the presence of text calls into question the principle of immanence that could dominate the analysis of the image. It is based on a comparison of different titles that accompany or could accompany a painting by Matisse, and strives to reveal the following paradox: it is in the title where the referential function appears to operate with the most force so as to steer the viewer toward a metapictorial process and for purposes of considering the painting in the reflexivity of its figural component |
| Other abstract | Cet article propose une réflexion sur le rapport texte/image, sur l'impact du texte sur la lecture de l'image et, plus particulièrement, il essaye de savoir si la présence du texte remet en question le principe d'immanence qui pourrait présider à l'analyse de l'image. S'appuyant sur une comparaison de différents titres qui accompagnent ou pourraient accompagner un tableau de Matisse, il voudrait révéler le paradoxe suivant : c'est le titre où la fonction référentielle semble s'exercer le plus fortement qui achemine le spectateur vers une démarche métapicturale pour envisager le tableau dans la réflexivité de sa composante figurale |
