| Spanish abstract | Comento sobre la importancia de producir, publicar y revisar literatura científica. La ciencia, en particular la Biología, debe sus avances a las publicaciones de los investigadores. Sin embargo, en el proceso de publicación puede haber errores que es necesario corregir. La falta de integridad y el conflicto de intereses pueden nublar el buen criterio para producir o revisar una publicación científica, lo cual se debe evitar. La reputación del biólogo debe ser conocida por su ética profesional y por su producción, la cual debe ser plasmada en publicaciones científicas de alta calidad |
| English abstract | I comment on the importance of producing, publishing and reviewing scientific literature. Science and Biology in particular, owes its new findings to the published results of the researchers. However in this process there could be some faults that are necessary to correct. Lack of integrity and conflict of interest may obstruct the adequate criteria to produce or review a scientific publication. It is necessary to avoid that. The Biologist's reputation should be known by his professional ethics and his production, which should be portrayed in scientific publications of high quality |
