English abstract This essay aims to analyze the idea of ritual and politics implicated in one of the collective actions carried out recently by the affected communities in the region of Atenco to resist to illegal land sales, both the incursions of the State and contractors currently working in the New International Airport of Mexico City (NIAMC), who are invading their territory. To resist, they improved the solar ceremony or Cenit, held the second week of May on the hill of Tepetzinco, located in the community of Nexquipayac, in the municipality of Atenco. The ceremony will be analyzed as a political act of resistance, related with the idea of ritual, that is part of the new repertoire of confrontation that affected communities have instrumentalized against NAICM, and imbricates the recovery of pre-conquest traditions, with the evocation of figures such as land, water and territory
