| Spanish abstract | La amenaza de la pandemia y las respuestas sanitarias por la expansión del virus SARS 2 CoVid 19 a nivel planetario, han producido un acontecimiento discursivo, con interrogantes sobre su alcance y perspectivas, siendo que podría llegar a consolidarse la tendencia al aislamiento, segregación y vigilancia social aplicando las nuevas formas de producción y nuevas tecnologías que se están desarrollando particularmente desde comienzo del presente siglo y abriendo una nueva dimensión biopolítica. Ante la ausencia de cura o prevención farmacológica, la respuesta en mayor o menor medida, según los países, ha sido el recurso del aislamiento social y el control del cumplimiento de ese aislamiento. Este recurso parece tener resultados aceptables, y un debate se ha abierto sobre las consecuencias sociales y aún éticas de su alcance. El control social se potencia con las actuales tecnologías. El teletrabajo, la geolocalización, etc. son tema en debate. Simultánea y paradójicamente, en el auge de la globalización resurge el paradigma de proteger la vida en aislamiento, bajo un modelo que denominamos -tomando las palabras de H. Kissinger- la ciudad amurallada. Surge la pregunta si a la salida de esta pandemia estaremos menos o más vulnerables, en las nuevas murallas planetarias |
| English abstract | The menace of the pandemic and the worldwide sanitary responses to the expansion of the SARS-2 CoVid-19 virus have produced a discursive event with questions about their reach and perspectives. The inclination towards isolation, segregation, and social surveillance; the implementation of new ways of production and new technologies that are being developed particularly from the beginning of this century; and the opening of a new biopolitical dimension might be consolidated. In light of the absence of a cure or pharmacological prevention, the answer to a greater or lesser extent, according to the countries, has been social isolation and the control of containment compliance. This resource (social isolation) seems to have acceptable results, and a debate has been opened about the social and even ethical consequences of its outreach. Social control is potentiated with the current technologies; telework, geolocation, etc., are topics for debate. Si-multaneously and paradoxically, in the rise of glo-balization, remerges the paradigm of protecting life under isolation, under a model we called – taking Kissinger’s words – the walled city.
