| Spanish abstract | La crónica es un formato narrativo muy frecuente en el periodismo de opinión. Posee la virtud de restaurar memorias, abreviar largos desarrollos históricos y seleccionar asuntos y facetas de una realidad determinada. El periodismo creativo de Hugo Rolando Cortés es un muy buen ejemplo de la crónica publicada en regiones. Su calidad queda de manifiesto en numerosas colaboraciones de prensa, donde Valparaíso reaparece con esplendores de otras épocas, sin faltar la nota costumbrista y el recuerdo que contrasta con el presente en el color sepia de la memoria. El presente trabajo forma parte del llamado Periodismo Estético, rótulo con que el autor destaca cualidades distinguibles en las columnas de diarios y revistas nacionales |
| English abstract | Chronic is a narrative frame which is widely spread in journalism of opinion. It restaures the memories, shortens long historical periods and selects issues and stages regards a certain reality. The creative journalism done by Hugo Rolando Cortés is a good example of the chronical gender published in regions and its good quality is shown in many press articles and colaborations where Valparaíso is highlighted with splendorous images of times gone by without lacking the customs related to a certain group of people and the memory that shows the contrast between the brownish colour and the memory as a concept itself. The following work belongs to a kind of journalism called Aesthetic Journalism, name in which the author outstands this one in some articles of national magazines and newspapers |
