| Spanish abstract | Este artículo, en tanto parte de una investigación mayor, tiene como propósito reflexionar en torno a la construcción del liderazgo en Chile, especialmente en el norte del país y en el posicionamiento de las mujeres en los espacios de poder. Interesa discutir los obstáculos que impiden que las mujeres aumenten no sólo su participación en términos de su proporcionalidad demográfica, ya que desde esta perspectiva comparten con otros grupos (grupos étnicos) esta situación, sino su representación como ciudadanas, como sujetos políticos. Considerando que el país se encuentra ad portas de finalizar la primera década del siglo XXI, con una mujer electa como Presidenta de la República, se revitaliza este debate. Se proponen algunos ejes analíticos que enmarcan el artículo, esto es, el desarrollo socioeconómico, la participación ciudadana y la perspectiva de género |
| English abstract | This article, as much part of a greater investigation, has the purpose to reflect around the construction of the leadership in Chile, specially in the north of the country and the positioning of women in the spaces of power. Interests to discuss the obstacles that prevent that the women increase not only their participation in terms of their demographic proportionality, because from this perspective they share this situation with other groups (ethnic groups), but also their representation as citizens, as political subjects. Considering that the country is ad portas to finalize the first decade of the XXI century, with an elected woman as president of the country, this debate is revitalized. Some analytical cores are proposed: the socioeconomic development, the citizen participation and the perspective of gender |
