| Spanish abstract | El Vaticano II fue un gran acontecimiento de discernimiento acerca de cómo vivir la gran tradición cristiana que se remonta a Jesús de Nazaret en las nuevas condiciones culturales de la humanidad. En ese contexto de aggiornamento la asamblea conciliar afrontó la cuestión acerca de la identidad de la Iglesia Católica. En 2014 se inició la publicación en lengua italiana de un nuevo comentario a todo el Concilio. El proyecto evidencia cuánto se ha progresado en estas décadas en su comprensión gracias a las investigaciones históricas y a los estudios sistemático-hermenéuticos. El análisis de la fase previa al Vaticano II y el estudio de la recepción posterior ofrecen una perspectiva amplia, muy útil para la evaluación de los procesos de cambio vividos. Colaboran también a la reflexión acerca del camino que la Iglesia y, en ella, todas las identidades reformuladas, están llamadas a recorrer en la actualidad |
| English abstract | Vatican II was a great event of discernment about how to live the great Christian tradition, that goes back to Jesus of Nazareth, but now in a new cultural setting. In this context of aggiornamento, the Conciliar Assembly faced the question of the identity of the Catholic Church. In 2014, the publication of a new Italian Commentary on the Council began. The project shows how much progress has been made in these decades in the understanding of the Council through historical research and systematic-hermeneutic approaches. The analysis of the pre-Vatican II phase and the study of the following reception, offer a broad perspective, and have been useful for evaluating the changing processes that happened. It also contributes to the reflection on the path that the Church and all the reformulated ecclesial identities are called to follow today |
