| Spanish abstract | Se analiza la controversia suscitada en el año de 1910, entre los antropólogos Robert Lehmann-Nitsche y Juan Bautista Ambrosetti, en torno a la creación de reservas indígenas en Argentina. Se contextualiza la época mostrando cómo el ideal de ciudadanía se vinculaba conflictivamente con la existencia de los pueblos originarios. Un enfoque historiográfico que intente reconstruir el contexto socio-cultural en sus propios términos, como el que se pretende en este Artículo de investigación, permite sostener que Lehmann-Nitsche, distanciándose de las posiciones prevalecientes y mayoritarias respecto del lugar asignado a los pueblos indígenas dentro de la Nación, intentó plantear un proyecto alternativo que, sin embargo, sólo 14 años después mostraría sus límites, con graves consecuencias para las poblaciones originarias |
| English abstract | The dispute between Robert Lehmann-Nitsche and Juan Bautista Ambrosetti about the creation of indigenous reserves is analyzed. Through the contextualization of the period, it is shown how the ideal of citizenship was linked conflictively with the existence of the indigenous people. A historiographical approach that attempts to reconstruct the social and cultural context in its own terms, as it is intended in this Research Article, can argue that Lehmann-Nitsche, distancing from the prevailing majority view regarding the place assigned to indigenous peoples within the nation, tried to propose an alternative project, however, only 14 years later show its limits with serious consequences for the indigenous people |
