| Spanish abstract | Los estudios sobre los solares residenciales en el área maya han mostrado que hay elementos estructurales básicos y aspectos variables, los cuales se adaptan según la situación socioeconómica a la que se enfrentan sus ocupantes. A partir de la arqueología se ha demostrado que hay ciertos patrones de comportamiento recurrentes entre las comunidades mayas de la Península de Yucatán. En este Documento de trabajo se analiza la estructura de sitio residencial de una hacienda henequenera a partir de la distribución espacial, la arquitectura, y la cultura material de los trabajadores que allí habitaron a principios del siglo XX |
| English abstract | In the Mayan area, residential house lot research has demonstrated that there are certain basic structural elements while there are other variable aspects that may adapt according to the socio-economic situation of their inhabitants. Archaeological studies have shown that there are some patterned behaviors among Maya communities at the Yucatan Peninsula. In this Working Paper it is analyze the residential site structure of a henequen hacienda through the spatial distribution, architecture, and material culture remains left by the workers that inhabited there by the beginning of the twentieth century |
