Spanish abstract Las redes MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) presentan características distintivas (movilidad y autonomía energética de los nodos, entre otras) que fuerzan una selección cuidadosa del protocolo de enrutamiento a emplear en ellas. Los protocolos de enrutamiento tienen como objetivo encontrar la mejor ruta para la comunicación entre dos nodos. Existe un gran número de protocolos de enrutamiento aplicables a redes MANET, cada uno de los cuales emplea determinadas métricas para la selección del trayecto óptimo. El presente artículo ofrece un breve estudio comparativo de estos protocolos según una serie de parámetros de interés, lo cual permitirá definir cuál de ellos se ajusta mejor a determinados escenarios
English abstract MANETs (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) have distinctive features (mobility and energy autonomy of the nodes, among others) that force a careful selection of the routing protocol to be used. Routing protocols aim to find the best route forcommunication between two nodes. There are a lot of routing protocols that can be used on MANETs, each of which uses certain metrics for selecting the optimal path. This article provides a brief comparative study of these protocols according to a set of parameters of interest that will help to define which of them is best suited in certain scenarios
