| Spanish abstract | Las redes de acceso experimentan una marcada tendencia a la convergencia, siendo la tecnología xDSL (Digital Subscriber Line, Línea de Subscriptor Digital) una de las más empleadaspara vincular servicios de voz y datos. Ante el crecimiento de las implementaciones, la gestión dedesempeño deviene indispensable para optimizar las capacidades. En este sentido, los autores evalúan las herramientas de monitorización de tráfico de enlaces xDSLpara DSLAMs (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer, Multiplexor de Línea de Acceso de Abonado Digital) de la serie 5600 HUAWEI, brindando una comparación de su desempeño. Las pruebas son ejecutadas enun ambiente de laboratorio donde se consideraran las alternativas: Cacti, MRTG, Netflow y Whats Up Gold |
| English abstract | Access networks experience a marked trend towards convergence, being the xDSL (Digital Subscriber Line) technologyone of the most frequently used to bind voice and data services. With the growth of implementations, the performance management becomes essential in order to optimize capacities. In this sense, the authors evaluate thetools for traffic monitoringin xDSL links established with HUAWEIDSLAMs (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) from the 5600 series, providing a performance comparison.
