| Spanish abstract | Con el crecimiento de Internet y la informatización, se incrementa el uso de las aplicaciones multimedia para acompañar y completar el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje en entornos de educación y formación a distancia en las universidades. El campo universitario venezolano demanda un sistema de calidad basado en la utilización de las nuevas tecnologías como instrumento para la mejora de la igualdad de oportunidades y la cohesión social, por lo tanto, se hace necesario brindar un marco de referencia que oriente aquellas características deseables en aplicaciones multimedia que faciliten la transmisión del conocimiento. Este artículo aborda la problemática de la evaluación de materiales multimedia desde la perspectiva de su uso en educación. Para ello, en un primer momento se analiza las características de este tipo de materiales, las funciones básicas, ventajas y limitaciones que puede tener su uso en contextos educativos, finalizando con aportes que se pueden extraer de las investigaciones realizadas sobre estos materiales, y que pueden guiar su evaluación |
| English abstract | With the growth of Internet and computerization the use of the applications is also increased multimedia to accompany and to complete the education process learning in surroundings of education and formation to distance in the universities. The Venezuelan university field demands a system of quality based on the use of the new technologies like instrument for the improvement of the equality of opportunities and the social cohesion, therefore, becomes necessary to offer a reference frame that orients those desirable characteristics in applications multimedia that facilitate the transmission of the knowledge. This article will approach problematic of the evaluation of materials the multimedia from the perspective of its use in education. For it at a first moment the characteristics of this type of materials are analyzed, the basic functions, advantages and limitations that can have their use in educative contexts, finalizing with contributions that can be extracted of the investigations made on these materials, and that can guide their evaluation |
