| Spanish abstract | Al final de la época clásica, las condiciones de vida de los ciudadanos atenienses sufrieron un cambio considerable. Este trabajo intenta establecer la forma en que los filósofos de las dos escuelas más importantes de esta época, la estoica y la epicúrea, trataban de conciliar sus necesidades materiales y cotidianas con los pre ceptos éticos de sus distintos sistemas filosóficos. | English abstract | At the end of the classical age the condition of life of the Athenian citizens have changed considerably.
