| Spanish abstract | Los problemas y soluciones de las cuestiones homéricas generaron disquisiciones filológicas y gramaticales en los primeros siglos del imperio romano, pero fundamentalmente se buscó siempre el sentido profundo y la razón filosófica de cada figura de los poemas épicos. Heráclito, el alegorísta, pretende alcanzar esa verdad que subyace en los relatos mitológicos siguiendo los pasos de un discurso epidíctico en el estilo de la oratoria clásica. Sus Alegorías de Romero son, en esta oportunidad, la fuente principal para acercarnos a la construcción textual de Apolo, Atenea, Hera y Zeus en el primer siglo de nuestra era, así como la Theologia de Cornutus y Sobre la vida y poesía de Homero atribuida a Plutarco |
| English abstract | The problems -and their solutions- concerning Homeric questions generated philological and grammatical inquiries during the early centuries of the Roman Empire, although rhetors mainly sought the deeper meaning and the pihlosophical motivation for each character of the epic poems. Heraclítus, the allegorist, applied his hermeneutical strategies in order to tap into the source of authoritative wisdom which lay in the mythological stories, drawing conclusions on the basis of an apodictic discourse in classical rhetorical style. His Homeric Allegres are the principal source when studying the textual construction of Apollo, Athena, Hera and Zeus in the first century of the Christian era, and also Cornutuss Theologia and Essay on the life and Poetry f Homer by Ps.
