| English abstract | The main objective of this essay is to analyze the film Swirl (2011), by Clarissa Campolina and Helvécio Marins, as an experience in itself. The film is analyzed in dialogue with recent film analyzes that relate affect and language. The focus is on the film’s script, as well as on its light, sound, color, shot, camera movements, and montage. The analytical effort mobilizes a bibliography connected to philosophy, sociology, studies of affect, film, and literature. The analysis shows that the film is a sensitive experience that affects the spectator/analyst through a work with cinematographic language that instigates both the attentive reading and the creation of meanings |
| Portuguese abstract | O principal objetivo deste ensaio é analisar o filme Girimunho (2011), de Clarissa Campolina e Helvécio Marins, como uma experiência em si mesma. O filme é analisado em diálogo com análises fílmicas recentes que relacionam afeto e linguagem. O foco recai sobre o roteiro do filme, assim como sobre a luz, o som, a cor, o plano, os movimentos de câmera e a montagem. O esforço analítico mobiliza uma bibliografia relacionada à filosofia, à sociologia, aos estudos do afeto, do cinema e da literatura. A análise mostra que o filme é uma experiência sensível que afeta o espectador/analista por meio de um trabalho com a linguagem cinematográfica que o instiga à leitura atenta e à criação de sentidos |
