| Spanish abstract | Este trabajo es un primer acercamiento a lo que se ha dado en llamar “infodemia”, que incluye rumores, bulos, fake news y mitos, en torno a la pandemia de COVID-19. Se busca como objetivos, en primer lugar, definir los anteriores conceptos dentro de la comunicación como necesidad del ser humano, sobre todo en contextos de crisis, a través de la consulta de la literatura existente. En segundo lugar, se realiza una revisión exploratoria, general e inicial sobre la presencia de rumores y fake news en la pandemia de 2020. Ante la multitud de mensajes, fuentes y medios, se optó por estudiar las listas de organismos internacionales y medios de comunicación, esto es, lo que las fuentes autorizadas señalan como bulos, y se ofrece una primera clasificación e interpretación. Los hallazgos muestran que la considerada infodemia, según la OMS y los medios, se centra en las explicaciones no oficiales sobre el origen del virus, por un lado y de otro, el contagio y tratamiento no correcto de la enfermedad |
| English abstract | This work is a first approach to what has been called an “infodemic”, which includes rumors, fake news and myths, about the COVID-19 pandemic. In the first time, the objetive is to define this concepts in communication as a human need, especially in crisis contexts, through a review of the existing literature. Secondly, an exploratory, general and initial review of the presence of rumors and fake news in the 2020 pandemic. In the multitude of messages, sources and media, it was decided to study the lists of international organizations and the media, that is, what the autho-rized sources point to as rumors, and a first classification and interpretation is offered.The findings show that the considered infodemic, according to the WHO and the media, focuses on unofficial explanations about the origin of the virus, on the one hand and on the other, the spread and incorrect treatment of the disease |
