| English abstract | This paper presents reflections that were intended to reveal the specifics of the teacher-student relationship in the contemporary educational context. The changes in society influence the people’s way of being, change the links established at school, determine new configurations of teacher-student relationship and affect the quality of work life of teachers. From an analytical and interpretive reading of the theoretical framework used by the authors previously developed in research, it is concluded that it is necessary to establish a satisfactory relationship environment, susceptible to strengthen personal and professional identity of teachers and strengthen ties with students and with the knowledge that it minimizes the discomfort and dissatisfaction that has afflicted a large number of teachers |
| Portuguese abstract | Este texto apresenta reflexões que tiveram por objetivo desvelar as especificidades da relação professor-aluno no âmbito do contexto escolar contemporâneo. As transformações da sociedade influenciam os modos de ser das pessoas, alteram os vínculos estabelecidos no cotidiano escolar, determinam novas configurações da relação professor-aluno e afetam a qualidade de vida no trabalho dos professores. A partir de uma leitura analítica e interpretativa do referencial teórico utilizado pelas autoras em pesquisas desenvolvidas anteriormente, conclui-se que é necessário o estabelecimento de um ambiente relacional satisfatório, suscetível de reforçar a identidade pessoal e profissional do professor e de fortalecer os vínculos com os alunos e com o conhecimento para que se minimize o mal-estar e a insatisfação que tem afligido um grande número de professores |
