| Spanish abstract | Este ensayo presenta una réplica a lo expuesto por Renato Prada acerca de su noción de hermenéutica textual histórica. Según Prada, la hermenéutica filosófica de Hans-Georg Gadamer muestra más interés por la tradición, «vivificar el pasado», que por el presente —el lector y su entorno vigente. A partir de citas textuales del propio Gadamer, Arias Sandí demuestra que para llegar a la comprensión del texto es necesario un diálogo entre pasado y presente, sin primacía de uno o del otro. No se debe olvidar la importancia que el círculo hermenéutico tiene para la comunicación |
| English abstract | This essay presents a replay to the exposition of Renato Prada about his notion of textual historical hermeneutics. According to Prada, philosophical hermeneutics of Hans-Georg Gadamer is more interested in tradition –»to give life to past»– than in present –the reader and his environment in use–. Starting from textual quotations of Gadamer himself, Arias Sandí demonstrates the need of the dialog between past and present, without primacy of one of them, to understand the text. We must remember the importance of the hermeneutic circle for communication |
