| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se explora la relación, convivencia y complementación entre la vida y la muerte en las páginas de La muerte de Artemio Cruz de Carlos Fuentes. Mediante esta lectura es posible descubrir el ouróboros que se esconde en el texto analizado: el espejo y sus implicaciones mitológicas se hacen presentes mediante el paralelismo entre el hombre que agoniza y el recién nacido; de la misma forma, se evidencia la metáfora de las últimas horas vividas por Artemio, expresada a través de las personas gramaticales con que está narrada la novela |
| English abstract | This article explores the relationship, coexistence and complementarity between life and death in the pages of La muerte de Artemio Cruz by Carlos Fuentes. By this reading is possible to discover the Ouroboros that is hidden in the text analyzed: the mirror and mythological implications are present by the parallels between the dying man and the newborn, in the same way, the metaphor is evidence of recent hours experienced by Artemio, expressed through grammatical persons that the novel is told |
