| Spanish abstract | A continuación se presenta un recorrido por la Política Social de Vivienda en Chile durante las dos últimas décadas, mostrando sus logros y limitaciones. Luego pone el foco en las iniciativas de vivienda desarrolladas en torno al adulto mayor, desde aquellas que se traducen en un porcentaje ínfi mo del stock asignado para adultos mayores, hasta las iniciativas que buscan transformar sistemas y procedimientos con el propósito de generar viviendas con mayor pertinencia y calidad para esta población |
| English abstract | Based on her long professional experience in housing public policy, the author makes a review of this policy in Chile during the last two decades, showing its achievements and limitations. Then focalizes in the housing initiatives for the elderly, from those that assign a minimum percentage of the public housing stock to the elderly to the initiatives that seek to transform systems and procedures that will have as an outcome more relevant and quality housing for this population |
