| Spanish abstract | El mundo enfrenta un problema de informalidad en sus economías porque un alto número de individuos se encuentra en ella, medir este fenómeno constituye una tarea difícil por los diferentes factores que contribuyen a su existencia, entre ellos, se encuentra la inmigración externa. El objetivo de la presente investigación es analizar la incidencia de la Inmigración Externa en la Economía Informal del Cantón Riobamba-Ecuador. La investigación tiene Enfoque Cualitativo, en los niveles de Exploratorio y Descriptivo. Es de tipo Observacional, Retrospectivo y Longitudinal. Se utilizó el método Inductivo y el histórico- documental. Los datos se obtuvieron de una entrevista estructurada aplicada a una muestra de 367 individuos localizados en las intersecciones de las calles de mayor circulación, durante los siete días de la semana en los horarios de 10 a 22h00. Los resultados indican que del 100% de informantes, el 44,96% son de origen extranjero de los cuales los hombres representan el 61,81% y las mujeres el 38,19%, que el 89,1% se encuentran en edad productiva y reproductiva, además, los datos expuestos permiten concluir que la inmigración externa ha incidido en la apropiación de espacios físicos de forma ilegal, la fuga de dinero al exterior, generación de sus propios sistemas de control, formación de redes de inmigrantes y en la invisibilización de trabajadores nacionales |
| English abstract | The world faces a problem of informality in its economies because a high number of individuals are in it, measuring this phenomenon is a difficult task due to the different factors that contribute to its existence, among them is foreign immigration. The objective of this research is to analyze the incidence of Foreign Immigration in the Informal Economy of the Canton Riobamba-Ecuador. The research has a Qualitative Approach, at the Exploratory and Descriptive levels. It is of the Observational, Retrospective and Longitudinal type. Inductive and historical-documentary methods were used. The data were obtained from a structured interview applied to a sample of 367 individuals located in the intersections of the streets with the highest traffic, during the seven days of the week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The results indicate that of the 100% of informants, 44.96% are of foreign origin, of which men represent 61.81% and women 38.19%, 89.1% are of productive age In addition, the data presented allow us to conclude that foreign immigration has had an impact on the illegal appropriation of physical spaces, the flight of money abroad, the generation of their own control systems, the formation of immigrant networks and the invisibility of national workers |
