| Spanish abstract | Resumen Después de revisar los testimonios de tres hombres que participaron de diversas formas en la guerrilla venezolana de los años 60 ( Víctor Hugo De Paola, Héctor Pérez Marcano y Américo Martín) y releer los testimonios ficcionados de tres escritoras (Victoria Duno, Antonieta Madrid y Ángela Zago), la investigadora puede concluir –al contrario de lo que quiso creer cuando era una ucevista menor de 20 años— que la guerrilla fue más imaginaria que real, más mediática que existente en la cotidianidad de la gente común de la calle y del campo; y que tuvo menos apoyo de los partidos que la decretaron y de los gobiernos de izquierda del mundo de lo que creían o hacían creer para descaminar al «enemigo» |
| English abstract | After reviewing the testimonies of three men who participated, in several ways, in the Venezuelan guerrilla of the 60s (Víctor Hugo De Paola, Héctor Pérez Marcano and Américo Martín) and re-reading the fictional testimonials of three writers (Victoria Duno, Antonieta Madrid and Ángela Zago), the researcher -contrarily to what she wanted to believe when she was less than 20 years old and a college student at the UCV (Universidad Central de Venezuela)- can conclude that the guerrilla was more imaginary than real; more media than existing in the everyday life of the common people of the streets and countryside, and that it had less support from the parties that decreed it as well as from the leftist governments of the world than they believed they had or made believe to mislead the «enemy» |
