| Spanish abstract | A principios del siglo XIX, el sistema de educación militar era un componente clave para elevar el nivel moral y de profesionalización de las fuerzas armadas, tomando en consideración que en el México independiente el ejército provenía de una serie de problemáticas que hacían difícil su integración, homogenización y modernización. Sin embargo, diversas dificultades como la inestabilidad política, la falta de recursos, de apoyo de los gobiernos locales y de la población, así como la deserción y desinterés de los propios militares hicieron difícil la alfabetización del soldado y su profesionalización. En este artículo se busca presentar los proyectos de creación de un sistema educativo que permitiera alfabetizar e instruir a los soldados del ejército mexicano, realizado y puesto en marchar por la élite militar durante el gobierno centralista, al mismo tiempo, mostrar las diferentes reacciones de los gobiernos locales y la población ante la ley implementada para la enseñanza de la tropa y algunas de las vicisitudes que llevaron al fracaso del proyecto educativo |
| English abstract | he beginning of the XIX century, the system of military education was a component key to raise the moral level and of professionalization of the army, taking in consideration that in the independent Mexico the army was coming from a series of problematic that were making his integration diffi cult, homogenization and modernization. Nevertheless, diverse difficult as the political instability, the lack of resources, of support of the local governments and of the population, as well as the desertion and disinterest of the own military men made difficult the literacy of the soldier and his professionalization. This objective of this article is to know present the projects of creation of an educational system that was allowing alphabetizing and to instruct the soldiers of the Mexican army, realized and put in going for the military elite during the centralist government, at the same time, to show the different reactions of the local governments and the population before the law implemented for the education of the troop and some of the events that led to the failure of the educational project |
