| Resumen en inglés | This article investigates, from a communicational perspective, the social representation of the other deprived, in the contemporary documentary work of the Ecuadorian filmmaker Pocho lvarez. The work analyses the documentaries Muisne, aquí nos quedamos biejo Lucho y Hugo, territorio rebelde, in the context of the oppression generated by transnationals and the Ecuadorian State on the people who are in resistance, who care for life, land and water, and fight against the dispossession. Through the use of the bibliographical-documentary review, the in-depth interview, the critical analysis of the visual text and the triangulation, the article aspires to offer a reflective analysis of both, the theoretical sources and the research object, and to merge communication, representation and cinema as areas of study of mutual enrichment. It is concluded that the social representation of the other deprived can be considered as controversial, since it is the product of the confrontation between antagonistic sides and appears in people or groups that are going through crises or social conflicts. In addition, from the methodological point of view, is posible the multidisciplinary convergence of the fields of social communication, representation and cinema, with a view to obtaining a more thorough understanding of the phenomena or objects of study in which they are involved, respectively. |
| Resumen en español | Este artículo indaga, desde una perspectiva comunicacional, sobre la representación social del otro despojado en la obra documental contemporánea del cineasta ecuatoriano Pocho lvarez. Se analizan los documentales Muisne, aquí nos quedamos biejo Lucho y Hugo, territorio rebelde que se sitúan en el contexto de la opresión que las transnacionales y el Estado ecuatoriano generan sobre los pueblos que resisten y cuidan la vida, la tierra y agua, y luchan contra el despojo. Mediante el uso de la revisión bibliográfico documental, la entrevista en profundidad, el análisis crítico del texto visual y la triangulación, se aspira a ofrecer un análisis reflexivo tanto de las fuentes teóricas como del objeto de investigación, y hacer converger comunicación, representación y cine como áreas de estudio de mutuo enriquecimiento. Se concluye que la representación social del otro despojado puede considerarse como una representación polémica, ya que es el producto del enfrentamiento entre bandos antagónicos y aparece en personas o grupos que atraviesan crisis o conflictos sociales. Además, desde el punto de vista metodológico, es posible la convergencia multidisciplinar de los campos de la comunicación social, la representación y el cine, con vistas a obtener una comprensión más cabal de los fenómenos u objetos de estudio en que se involucran, respectivamente. |
