| English abstract | Talking about culture represents an enormous challenge. The very definition of the concept leads us to ask ourselves what people think of when they speak of it and, at the same time, which elements we can exclude from the definitions that are farthest removed from the plane of validity. However, this question is made easier when we start from the idea that man is, above all, a being with a sociocultural dimension that is rooted, in time and space, to a set of manifestations and expressions that reflect his way of seeing the world, his way of facing life and his very particular values. |
| Spanish abstract | Hablar de cultura representa un enorme reto. La sola definición del conceptonos lleva a plantearnos qué es lo que la gente piensa cuando habla de ella y, al mis-mo tiempo, cuáles son los elementos que podemos excluir de las definiciones másalejadas del plano de lo válido. Sin embargo, esta cuestión se facilita cuando partimos de la idea de que el hombre es, ante todo, un ser con una dimensión sociocultu-ral que se encuentra enraizado, en tiempo y espacio, a un conjunto de manifestaciones y expresiones que reflejan su forma de ver al mundo, su manera de encarar la vida y sus muy particulares valores. |
