Spanish abstract Este estudio tiene el propósito de conocer cómo se organizan y estructuran las titulaciones universitarias de Educación y atención de la primera infancia en América Latina y el Caribe. Para ello se realizó un análisis de 19 países que componen la región, donde se consideraron sus requisitos de acceso y características generales de sus sistemas. Además, se asociaron indicadores de Valor Social Objetivo que influyen de manera directa en sus estructuras. Para identificar los grupos de formación y sus variables se realizó un análisis de conglomerados K-medias y contrastes no paramétricos (ji-cuadrado), lo que permitirá observar las diferencias de formación inicial que existen entre los países de la región y con ello una visión general sobre la formación de los futuros docentes
English abstract The purpose of this study is to learn how university degrees in early childhood education and care are organized and structured in Latin America and the Caribbean. To reach this goal, the 19 countries in the region were included in an analysis of their systems' access requirements and general characteristics. In addition, a determination was made of the indicators of objective social value that directly influence their structures. To identify training groups and their variables, an analysis of K-media clusters and non-parametric contrasts (chi-square) was carried out. The findings will provide an understanding of the differences that exist in initial teacher education in the region, along with a general vision of the education of future teachers
