| English abstract | This article aims to discuss that the intermedial nature of the modern and contemporary poetry has its roots in the Simmias of Rhodes’ Greek poetry (3rd century BC). In a nutshell, it highlights the main modern poetics constituted by media crossing, which establishes a dialogue with the Greek poem and, at the same time, opens the routes for the experimental poetry, such as the video poem by Arnaldo Antunes. In this regard, the present article, based on the Intermediality Studies theories, focuses on the examination of this artistic manifestation to show that if, on one hand, this cultural product belongs to the group of poetics originated from the combination of media such as the ones mentioned above, on the other hand, its complexity goes deeply against features of the traditional poetry and imposes new production, flow and reading parameters |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo discute que a natureza intermidiática da poesia moderna e contemporânea tem suas raízes na poesia grega de Símias de Rodes (séc. III a.C.). Em uma breve exposição, ressalta as principais poéticas da modernidade que se constituíram pelo cruzamento de mídias, estabelecendo um diálogo com o poema grego e, ao mesmo tempo, abrindo os caminhos para as experimentações poéticas, tal como o videopoema de Arnaldo Antunes. Neste particular, este trabalho, amparado nas teorias dos Estudos da Intermidialidade, centraliza suas lentes no exame dessa manifestação artística para mostrar que se, por um lado, esse produto cultural se filia ao grupo de poéticas nascidas da combinação de mídias como as acima mencionadas, por outro, a sua complexidade rompe profundamente com certa poesia tradicional e impõe nova forma, de produção, de circulação e de leitura |
