| Spanish abstract | En la novela La historia de mis dientes (2013), la mexicana Valeria Luiselli pone de relieve el carácter de proceso de la creación literaria y la contemporánea inespecificidad de los proyectos estéticos. Su personaje principal, el subastador Gustavo Sánchez Sánchez, ―"Carretera", en la posición de un extraño ―"mecenas", es (auto)biografiado por el precario escritor ―"Beto Bálser". Los nombres de diversos autores –clásicos y contemporáneos, y las referencias textuales se entrecruzan con las imágenes fotográficas del libro, en un interesante ejercicio de ficción dentro de la ficción, de metaliteratura y sobre todo, de deconstrucción del espacio literario |
| English abstract | In the novel The Story of my Teeth (2013), the mexican Valeria Luiselli emphasizes the character of the process of literary creation and the contemporary lack of specificity of aesthetic projects. Its main character, the auctioneer Gustavo Sánchez Sánchez, "Carretera", in the position of a strange "patron", is (auto) biographed by the precarious writer "Beto Bálser". The names of authors -both classic and contemporary- and textual references intertwine with the photographic images of the book, in an interesting exercise of fiction within Fiction, metaliterature and, above all, the deconstruction of literary space |
